Our Mission
To provide thoughtful, skilled horological services that honor the craft of fine watchmaking and the timepieces entrusted to our care.
About Nocturne
Nocturne began in 2018 when three horologists who had trained with Swiss and Japanese manufacturers decided to establish an independent practice in Taipei. We wanted to create a place where fine watches could receive the care they deserved ā careful attention from skilled hands, using proper techniques and appropriate tools.
The name Nocturne reflects our appreciation for the quiet concentration required in this work. Like a musical nocturne, watchmaking demands patience, precision, and a respect for the passage of time. Each movement presents its own challenges and character. We approach every service with the same measured attention, whether addressing a straightforward case-back seal or undertaking a complete restoration.
Our practice operates on principles we consider essential: transparency in communication, honest assessment of what a watch requires, and skilled execution following manufacturer specifications. We maintain relationships with component suppliers in Switzerland, Germany, and Japan, ensuring access to proper replacement parts when original components cannot be restored.
We serve clients who value quality work over expedience, who understand that proper service cannot be rushed, and who appreciate the difference between mechanical intervention and authentic restoration. Your timepiece represents an investment ā in craftsmanship, in mechanical artistry, and often in personal history. We treat each watch accordingly.

Our Values
Precision Through Patience
Fine watchmaking cannot be rushed. Each caliber requires specific procedures, proper observation periods, and careful regulation. We allocate the time necessary for thoughtful work rather than pursuing volume.
Honest Assessment
We provide candid evaluation of what your watch requires. If a component can be restored, we restore it. If replacement is necessary, we explain why. Our recommendations are guided by the watch's condition, not by maximizing billing.
Respect for Craft
Each mechanical watch represents hundreds of hours of design, engineering, and assembly. We approach every timepiece with appreciation for the skill involved in its creation and the care required in its maintenance.
Clear Communication
You receive detailed information about recommended service, associated costs, and expected timeline before work begins. Updates are provided if circumstances change. Questions are answered thoroughly and without technical jargon unless requested.
Begin Your Service
Whether you require routine maintenance, repair of a specific issue, or comprehensive restoration, we're available to discuss your timepiece's needs.
